![]() Side note though: I have had issues with defective SATA to USB adapters in the past, so be sure to get one from a reputable company. To connect it to my MBA, I use a SATA to USB adapter, plugged into a USB to Thunderbolt hub. I can't remember the link but I remember hearing some horror stories of this on Hacker News a week or two ago. Make sure to do plenty of research before choosing your SSD, as a lot of people get ripped off particularly on Amazon, with used drives and defective merchandise. I have three, which I use to backup various personal projects and one for gaming. Personally I've used Kingston's SATA SSD's since 2018 for backing up my stuff, and so far so good.
